One document covers up to 5 pages. A longer file counts as more than one — a 100-page packet is real work, and pricing it as a single document would mean charging everyone else for it.

The maths: pages ÷ 5, rounded up. Never less than one.
You are not charged. If Swiftract cannot process a file, that run costs you nothing.
It counts as normal. Swiftract read the file, checked it and flagged what needs your eyes — that is the work you are paying for, and it is the part that catches the expensive mistakes.
Free. Re-running an extraction on a document you already processed is never counted twice, no matter how many times you do it.
It counts as a single document, regardless of length. If we cannot read it well enough to count its pages, we do not charge you for pages we never saw.
Nothing stops. Every document beyond the ones your plan includes that month is $0.49, and your work keeps processing.
Swiftract asks you to pick a plan or pay per document before it processes the next file. Nothing is charged before that, and you never need a card to try the first 25.
A monthly plan is charged at the start of each billing month. Extra documents beyond your plan, and documents on pay per document, are added up and charged at the end of the month.
Your work keeps processing while the card company retries the payment, and you can update the card yourself in Settings → Billing. We do not cut you off the day a card expires.

Anytime, from your billing page — it opens Stripe’s portal, where you can also update your card and download past invoices. No phone call, no notice period.
No. Team members, workflows, batches, exports, PDF reports and the review queue are all included. The only thing that counts is a document being processed.
Sales tax is added where it applies, based on your billing address, and shown on the invoice before it is charged.
